BLENDER & UNITY SOLO PROJECT

•THE IDEA
Combining modeling and rigging in Blender with environment building and shader programming in Unity I created this environment with three controllable characters based on real life ceramic figures. The characters have an idle- and walk animation and can be switched between during runtime.

• WHAT I DID
During this project I set out to learn and explore Unity's Shader Graph tool, which I used to create the environment for my animation scene. The toonshade material, water shader and wind effect in the scene was made with the Shader Graph. The wind effect is a vertex animation based on noise, and with parameters controlling the wind strength and direction.

The character design is based on real life ceramic figures, so to get the right look for the materials I decided to export the normal map and bring it into Procreate where I hand-painted the normals with a rough brush, and then later bringing them back to Blender.

The character design, rigging and animation was made in Blender.
